Adinkra is a word that many are familiar with, it has a strong connection to the past and has remained a part of the West African culture up until today.

In a previous post we spoke about Adinkra symbols. Most of these symbols get their meaning from west African folklore, which contain a proverbial message. One symbol “ntonton” depicts creativity and wisdom. This symbol is based on the most famous character in West African folklore “Kweku Ananse, the mischievous but wise spider.”
