So often when we hear or see the word Africa, our minds and perceptions of the huge continent which we like to call the motherland, is often tainted with the unfortunate notions and ideologies that couple Africa with poverty, underdeveloped and in dyer need of help and contribution from other nations. Don’t get us wrong, there are some awful cases where such notions are true, but our question to you is, how often do you associate Africa with words such as luxury, beautiful interior design and fascinating architecture?
Hopefully the inspiring Ted Talk delivered by African digital artist Jepchumba who explains why Africa is a place that should be known for more than its landscapes and paintings but it’s successes in innovation and digital art will help disassemble this notion.
