Yaw Ananse’s the BIG idea

By February 2, 2017 No Comments

Branding, design & marketing is what we do.

In a previous post we spoke about Adinkra symbols. Most of these symbols get their meaning from west African folklore, which contain a proverbial message. One symbol “ntonton” depicts creativity and wisdom. This symbol is based on the most famous character in West African folklore “Kweku Ananse, the mischievous but wise spider.”

The stories of Kweku Ananse have been passed down from generation to generation for many hundreds of years. Ananse would carry stories from the sky God to the people of the earth on the Web he weaved. He is a greedy, mischievous and intelligent character, and it’s his greed that is the driving force behind all that he does. Through each of Ananse’s stories, there is always a lasting message and moral that resonated amongst those who heard or were told a story as his tales always depicted an aspect of everyday life.

Although we are not greedy nor mischievous our creative adaptation of Kweku Ananse’s famous tales reflect how we as a digital and design agency aim to collaborate businesses and charities looking to transform their ideas into something both tangible and real.

So without further ado, we are proud to share with you Yaw Ananse’s Big Idea.
